Wendy, you were my motivation to change enough to star my own individual journeys thread. Isn't this fun? Thanks for posting, it helps us all to feel not so alone in our world.

Happy to get us on a roll and that everyone can live learn and love from each others journeys.

Mine was a journey of reminding me where my starting point is today. Not so pretty.
Sat the day in the inner me after hubby getting out the door in a whirlwind of anxiety which was not directed on me and yet I sucked it in. Rarely do i get a day to myself qnd I had a plan to get some work done and a plan for my veggies and clean the house and enjoy the day. Instead I didn't eat I didn't pee and the next thing I knew my morning coffee was ice cold and the day was over. I never even opened the blinds and I didn't even notice. Nor did I notice my poor dogs whining until I later saw one had puked by the door. This got me turned around into a housecleaning tornado as I suddenly realized I had so much to do and so little day left. I reflect on Carlas email this morning and truly wish I had been present in my day...they do go by too quickly.

So... Now I'm fully aware of where my starting spot is and the hazy color that engulfs it, how good it feels when I finally turn away from it and I know how full and rich my life can be once I get past it . Ive been battling to get out of this spot all my life. I'm so grateful to have found Carla in my life and the opportunity to be in the nurturing guidance of this group. Im beginning to see my future self in vivid clearness!

Wendy, You have such a way with words that evoke tears, laughter and my deep admiration for you! Your writing/sharing is a lighthouse, streaming the reminder that in all of life's messes ther is always Hope. I'm grateful for you.

Yes there is hope and in reflection I can see that my last post was indeed a giant step past my starting point. When I first met Carla several years ago I had days like that only they lasted for weeks! Now they are less often and always with a grain of hope to pull out. And when I do I look for the good ahead instead of beating myself up for the failure behind. Today I'm going to open the blinds, get my work done and go riding with my friend this afternoon. I'm actully going to her place and ride her horse Kate. We usually meet and ride our own and so I have only been to her house twice in the 12 years of friendship. Time for a change!

Wendy- enjoy your day...it sounds wonderful. Let us know how it goes. Will you be in huckleberry country during your ride?

YES! My day went as planned yesterday! Must be something in those veggies
I had the most wonderful ride wiih my friend. She lves just two canyons away from me and it was nice to see her riding turf as we usually ride in mine. Lots of bear scat but with 5 dogs along we didn't see any. No huckleberries either, they're a little higher than we were and I'm told a little sparse this year. We still have some wonderful berries in the freezer that family bring from Mt. Baker in WA. They are huge and delightful and calling my name to get out for my oatmeal this morning! Oops I just told on myself, better get on with breackfast
